Read and make a wordlist
Have a look at the newspaper below (or another newspapers) and choose one article that you find interesting. The article should be between 300-1000 words. Make a wordlist of at least 20 words that could be difficult (you should have that many words even if understand them yourself). Make sure that your translation fits the context of the article.

Prepare questions

Write about 4-5 comprehension questions that are important for the article and answer the questions. Write the answers to the questions at the end of the article for the teacher.

Present the article

Prepare to present the article to your classmates so that it will be easier for them to read it. Give a summary of what the article is about but don’t answer your questions. Go through the wordlist.

Checklist before you send in your article

  • Is my article long enough?
  • Do I have comprehension questions?
  • Do I have a wordlist?
  • Have I prepared a good presentation of the article?
  • Have I underlined the words that are in my wordlist?

Send in your article

Title of the article, number of words in the article, wordlist, the article itself, your comprehension questions and discussion questions.
